However, there are things you and your school can do about potential violence–changes that involve simple human intervention and a coordinated effort by all stakeholders. The U.S. Department of Education blog site, Homeroom, contains links to a guide for managing threatening situations, a publication called Implementing Behavioral Threat Assessment on Campus in downloadable .pdf format from Virginia Tech, and a CD called A Safe School And Threat Assessment Experience: Scenarios Exploring The Findings Of The Safe School .
