Confessions About the Stream-of-Consciousness Re-write

I confess.  It is impossible for me to turn that stream of consciousness blog draft int1) o anything that wouldn’t 1) sound whiny about my physical state, and 2) turn into an advertisement about my new business.  If anyone wants to try to separate the two areas into two separate blog posts, please feel free to help me out.  In the meanwhile, I am giving up on turning this into one or even two “real” posts, and will be submitting another SOC tomorrow that is on one or more topics that have nothing to do with my back or my business.

In fact, I think I will attempt an SOC on pets in a Sint Maarten household.  Don’t know where Sint Maarten is?  It’s a tiny country of approximately 44,000 people on the southern half of the island of St. Martin in the Caribbean Sea–but with the east-most border on the Atlantic Ocean.  Pets are treated differently here than they are in the US and many European countries, and I’ll try to talk about how pet care and “confinement” differs here than “back in the old USA.”

For now, please accept my apologies for the thoroughly terrible and non-rewritable (at least, not at this time) first SOC, linked above. I know some of you have been waiting patiently for how I edited it for “real” posting; but this one caught me by surprise, and the time and effort I’ve put into writing and re-writing the two sections kept ending in failed output that I would be embarrassed to share. Actually, I am embarrassed to share the results, which is why you’re not seeing them.

So tomorrow, a brand new SOC on a “safe” topic…

Thank you all for your patience with me.

Ellie

Ellie, no apologies needed. Really. Just write (or not) and enjoy the process. It’s still a hobby, right?

You are my hero and inspiration to keep going, Irene. In fact, in today’s “photo 101” class, I used the word “literally” (correctly, I might add), and thought about giving a shout-out to you for that reblog you submitted for “All Our Writing.” But I knew you weren’t following that site as you’re still doing the post-a-day. I think I’ll do that one next time it comes around… I did it once before and actually made it through an entire month!! I think it may have been one of their early attempts–maybe a year or two into WordPress–but it was fun and exciting, and probably was the best thing for keeping me and my blogging on track for that first month I had the site. Don’t forget to check in on All Our Writing on occasion. I think we have a really nice group–once we can encourage them to submit!!
