Birth of a Genre

Keep March 1, 2015, open.  There is something new and wonderful arising on that day.

Much time has passed since I’ve sat at my computer or iPad or smartphone to post words that will be seen by so few people that it’s like keeping a private diary.  This morning, I decided to open up WordPress to let a nascent idea develop.  This is not the site on which I intended to post–I was heading for Lil Ole Lady Press–but sometimes the universe contrives to present another idea, another source of wonder and discussion.

When I opened WordPress, the item below opened as a featured post on what I affectionately refer to as my “What’s happening?” page, no matter what WordPress calls it.  I found a fresh idea, and a unique place for the Internet community to participate (on March 1, 2015) in an open work of collaborative creativity–music, art, video, creations of words–all generated by the uniqueness and cooperation of talented individuals to welcome into the world a new (perhaps) genre.

Read on.  Then participate, follow, critique, praise–whatever contribution arises into your own sense of where and how you fit in.  I, for one, will be watching and observing, since this is what I do best.  Click on the link below and become part of something new or a re-invention of something so old that none of us remember… You decide.

Read on.  Spread the word.  And enjoy!

Birth of a Genre.

P.S.  I can’t remember the idea I had intended to develop, but it will come…

  1. Wow, thank you vey much Dr. Ellie! As a collaborator in tomorrow’s show, I agree with you that participation at any and all levels is critical in the introduction of anything new. Thank you for this kind endorsement. And may you find your muse. See you at tomorrow’s show!

  2. DrEMiller – What a wonderful post on a subject you didn’t even know you where going to find. Thank you for visiting The Neighborhood, spreading the word within your communities and most of all, for believing in our imagination too. You are appreciated very much. Until Sunday.
